The Canaan Foundation will host a community event to celebrate its 25th anniversary at the Colonial Theatre on Sunday, October 26, 2025 from 1 - 4:00 pm.
The Canaan Foundation is a not for profit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in the town of North Canaan.
The Canaan Foundation was established in 2000 by a group of visionary people who recognized that other nonprofit organizations in North Canaan needed financial support in order to best serve the community. Funds for The Canaan Foundation come from donations during its annual fund drive, bequests, memorial contributions and from friends of the Foundation.
Typically The Canaan Foundation grants $20 - $30,000 per year to a wide variety of nonprofit organizations. Applications are available in December and grants are awarded in March. Together we are making a difference in the lives of North Canaan residents. To date, The Canaan Foundation has…
